Gladys Dokua Smith was born Oheneba Dokua Dokyi to the Royal house of Kukurantumi, a small village in the Eastern region of Ghana. Her father who was the designated chief of the village abdicated and handed the position to his brother.
The Royal house has in the past built and donated to the village, a church and an elementary school. The heirs of her estate have decided to build and donate Dokua Smith Health Campus to the Village and the surrounding communities.
The intent of DSFHC is to bring a much needed medical facilities and services not only to Kukurantumi but to the surrounding sister villages as well. It is our hope that the hospital will also bring jobs and prosperity to the area.
